The Dead Sea water surface was 441.16 meters below mean sea level on 1 August 2026. This is a dated surface-elevation measurement, not the lake's water depth. Its brine contains about 340 g/L of dissolved salts and has a density of about 1.24 g/mL, which makes floating unusually easy.
